Karidopeta

  • 14 eggs
  • 2 cups Cream of Wheat
  • 3 cups finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 jigger vanilla

Beat egg yolks with sugar. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add egg yolk mixture into egg whites. Mix together rest of ingredients and add to egg mixture.

Pour into well­ greased pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Syrup for Karidopeta

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups sugar
  • lemon rind and cinnamon stick

Combine ingredients and bring to boil. Boil for 10 minutes. Pour hot syrup over karithopeta.
